Baggage carts are an essential facility at any airport. Free carts are provided throughout the terminal for your convenience. Baby strollers are also available in designated areas to assist families with young children.

These carts are designed to help you move your luggage more easily, reduce the strain of carrying heavy items, and enhance your travel experience.

  • Parking area & terminal entrance

BAGGAGE WEIGHING & WRAPPING

Passengers can use the trial weighing service to ensure their baggage meets airline weight regulations.

If your baggage is oversized or fragile, we offer a professional shrink-wrap service for optimal protection during transport.

Wrapping your baggage is a great way to ensure it stays protected throughout your journey. This service also helps prevent scratches, liquid damage, and minor impacts.

Departure hall area, near the check-in counters. Or you can view the baggage wrapping location map for precise directions.

Service Fee

Varies depending on baggage size (from 50,000 – 500,000 VND per item)

Register at the Airline Check-in Counter

  • Passengers check in baggage directly at their airline's counter.
  • Baggage will be tagged and transferred to the aircraft cargo hold.

Self-Service Baggage Drop

To enhance passenger experience and optimize check-in time, Long Thanh International Airport offers a modern Self-Service Baggage Drop system, allowing passengers to check in baggage without staff assistance.

Just a few simple steps:

  • Print your baggage tag at a self-check-in kiosk or via the airline's mobile app.
  • Attach the tag in the designated position.
  • Place your baggage on the automated belt, scan your ticket, confirm the drop, and receive your receipt.

Please Note:

  • Follow your airline's baggage size and weight regulations.
  • Overweight/oversized baggage may incur additional fees.
  • Some items are prohibited from being checked in or require special declaration (power banks, valuables, medical devices, etc.).

For passengers needing temporary baggage storage or home/hotel delivery service:

  • The baggage storage counter offers temporary storage for passengers who do not wish to carry their luggage immediately.
  • Some partner providers also offer door-to-door baggage delivery to homes or hotels upon request.

Common questions about baggage

Can I check in additional baggage after completing online check-in?

Yes. Even if you have checked in online, you still need to go to the baggage drop-off counter or self-service baggage drop area to check your bags. Please arrive earlier than the counter closing time to ensure your baggage is accepted on time.

Can I bring baggage with special shapes (golf clubs, musical instruments, etc.)?

Yes, but you need to:

  • Notify the airline in advance (via hotline or at the check-in counter).
  • Some special baggage must be properly packaged and may incur extra fees depending on size/weight.
Are there any regulations on carrying power banks and electronic devices?

Yes. According to aviation safety regulations:

  • Power banks and devices containing lithium batteries are not allowed in checked baggage.
  • They must be carried in hand luggage and the capacity must be within the airline’s allowed limit.
If I forget something at the airport, where can I contact?

If you forget something or cannot find your checked baggage on the carousel, please:

  • Go to the Information Counter or Baggage Services Counter.
  • Provide a detailed description of the item and the time/counter/date it was lost.
If I check in online, do I need to go to the check-in counter?

If you do not have checked baggage, you can go straight to the security gate. If you have checked baggage, you need to go to the Bag Drop counter to drop off your luggage.
