On the eve of the important holiday celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, Noi Bai International Airport is expected to serve a peak period of flight operations with a sharp increase in transport volume and complex flight operations. To ensure absolute flight safety during the country's historic days, on August 12, 2025, units in the aviation chain held a coordination conference to develop flexible plans suitable for this period.
The joyful atmosphere to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the national holiday is spreading throughout the country, and the capital Hanoi is the center of the celebration activities. The "air gateway" of the capital, Noi Bai International Airport, is entering the final stage of preparation to serve the peak period that is expected to set a new record in terms of flights and passenger volume.
To ensure smooth and safe operations, Noi Bai International Airport chaired the Operational Coordination Conference with the participation of key units: Vietnam Aviation Administration, Northern Airport Authority, Northern Air Traffic Management Company, Air Traffic Management Center, domestic and international airlines and ground service units.
International visitors peak, domestic visitors promise to explode
Meanwhile, the flow of domestic tourists is also forecast to increase as tens of thousands of people from all over the country flock to the capital to participate in national cultural and artistic events held on this occasion. It is estimated that on the peak day, Noi Bai International Airport will serve nearly 110,000 passengers and 638 flights, about 20% higher than the same period in 2024.
